Conceptually, Waves Blown Back (major points if you get the reference; it has nothing to do with a hair salon, and google is cheating) was created to document my adventures as I spent a semester living in Madrid. In reality, there were fewer astute observations on Spanish-American cultural differences and more rants and raves about food, language, popular culture, places I visited, and politics. I have decided to continue to periodically update this blog now that I'm back in New York. The content will likely be about the same as it has been; now I will just whine about New Yorkers instead of Spaniards.
